Terms of Service

Plain-language terms, set against the Australian Consumer Law.

These terms govern your use of rollsociety.com.au and your purchase of any products advertised through it. They sit alongside, and do not reduce, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) — Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). Where any clause here would be inconsistent with a non-excludable consumer guarantee, the ACL prevails for that clause.

1. Who you're contracting with

Roll Society is an Australian online retailer based in New South Wales. When you place an order, you're entering a contract of sale with Roll Society. The contract forms when we send you an order-confirmation email — clicking "Pay" on the cart is your offer; our confirmation is the acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to place an order, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By placing an order you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that the payment method is yours to use.

3. Pricing and payment

  • All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD), inclusive of GST where applicable.
  • We may correct obvious pricing errors before despatch — if a price is genuinely listed in error, we'll notify you and offer a full refund or the chance to confirm at the corrected price.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. Order placement requires a successful authorisation; despatch is gated on a successful capture.

4. Shipping and delivery

Shipping windows are listed on our shipping page and at checkout. Those windows are estimates based on lane data from our fulfilment partners — they are not delivery guarantees, and we do not control carrier handovers, customs queues, or unforeseeable network delays. Title and risk in the goods pass to you on delivery.

5. Dropshipped fulfilment

Some Roll Society products are sourced and despatched by third-party fulfilment partners under our specifications and quality controls. The contract of sale is between you and Roll Society — we, not the partner, are responsible to you for the goods. The transit times for partner- fulfilled orders are usually longer than for in-stock AU items; the shipping page lists typical windows by destination.

6. Warranty pass-through and consumer guarantees

Every product carries the consumer guarantees set by the ACL — including acceptable quality, fitness for purpose as disclosed, and matching description. Where a product also carries a manufacturer warranty (most technical apparel does), we pass that warranty through to you in addition to the ACL guarantees. Manufacturer warranty does not displace your ACL rights.

If a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you're entitled to a remedy under the ACL — repair, replacement, or refund, depending on whether the failure is major or minor. Reach out via the contact form with your order number and a description of the issue, and we'll work the remedy from there.

7. Returns and refunds

Our voluntary returns policy is set out in full on the shipping & returns page. In short: you have 30 days from delivery to return an unworn, unwashed item in its original packaging for a refund, exchange, or store credit. This voluntary policy is in addition to your statutory rights under the ACL — it does not replace them.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this site — copy, photography, the Roll Society name, the RS mark, and the visual design — is the property of Roll Society or its licensors. You may not reproduce, scrape, or redistribute the content without prior written consent. Personal, non-commercial use (sharing a product link, screenshotting your order) is fine.

9. Acceptable use

  • Don't attempt to disrupt, probe, or reverse-engineer the site or its API beyond what's necessary for normal use.
  • Don't submit fraudulent orders, chargebacks made in bad faith, or contact-form abuse.
  • Don't represent yourself as Roll Society or imply an affiliation that doesn't exist.

10. Limitation of liability

Subject to your non-excludable rights under the ACL, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these terms is capped at the purchase price of the goods to which the claim relates. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages — loss of profits, loss of training time, loss of competition opportunity — except where the ACL requires otherwise.

11. Promotions, codes, and store credit

Discount codes and promotional credits are non-transferable, may not be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated, and may be revoked if obtained through error or abuse.

12. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is governed by the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms by reference.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the Federal Court of Australia, without prejudice to your right to bring a claim in the courts of your habitual residence under any non-excludable consumer protection law of that jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. The version that applies to your order is the version published on this page on the date you placed it. Material changes are flagged at the top of this page for at least 30 days after publication.
